Water Transport in China |
|
|
China is criss crossed by a number of water bodies traversing the whole of its length and breadth. The Bohai, Yellow Sea and the East China Sea flow through the eastern part of the country. The central-eastern part of China houses the deltas of the Huang He River and the Yangtze River. China is also flanked by some of the other important rivers, like the Pearl River, Mekong, Brahmaputra and Amur. It is only natural that a land, which is gifted with so many rivers will have a well developed water transport system . The water transport system in China is fairly well developed. The water transport in China can be divided into international as well domestic water routes.
