China is popular for its rich culture and tradition. The origin of Chinese religion is unknown. The history of China states that the religion of China has been constantly influenced by various dynasties. The important religions of China are Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism and many more. Apart from these religions there are some other religion like Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism, Islam, Christianity as and Judaism.

The largest organized religion of China is Mahayan Buddhism. Check out some brief description of each religion of China.
- Mahayan Buddhism - This is vast religion in China. In addition to the concepts of Buddhism and Pali Canon, there are many Mahayana Sutras. In this religion Buddha is seen as inconcievable, immutable, eternal and omnipresent.
- Confucianism - The religion is also an important religion of China. Confucianism is based on the teachings and thinkings of great philosopher Confucius. Social relationship, personal morality and justice is the base of this religion.
- Taoism - It is one of the major religion of China. Taoism is also a folk religion of China. The concepts of Taoist religion are based on the early concepts found in classic texts of wisdom like the Book of Tao and Its Virtues.
- Buddhism - Although not an indigenous religion of China. The religion was transferred to China from South and central Asia. The religion was hugely practiced during Han dynasty.
- Christianity - A huge number of people in China also practice Christianity. The practice of Christianity in China was started in AD 635. The religion was banned during Ming Dynasty, but later on the government gave green signal to the religion.
Judaism - In many parts of China the religion is practiced hugely. The religion first came to China during Tang Dynasty.
The diverse religion of China makes the country a country with rich cultural background which is reflected in the daily life of Chinese people.
