Sha Tin Park

Situated in Asia, China is one of the most beautiful countries and is also a very popular tourist destinations. Tourist attractions and destinations in large numbers are scattered all over China. Hong Kong comprises large number of islands of various shapes and sizes that offer great scenic beauty to tourists. The abundance of natural assets have turned most of the islands in Hong Kong into major tourist destinations. You would find great undulating mountainous terrains, peaks, monasteries, temples, historical sites, shipping villages, markets and many more in Hong Kong. But if you are tired of roaming in the tourist spots and thinking about relaxing on soft green grass, then Hong Kong would not disappoint you. Situated in the new town of Sha Tin, the Sha Tin Park is one of the calm and quiet places in the region where you can relax.

Sha Tin Park , which was formerly known as Sha Tin central Park is located on the bank of Shing Mun River and is very close to the New Town Plaza. Sha Tin Park covers a huge area of 8.05 hectares of land and is very well-decorated and equipped with various facilities. Sha Tin Park has got various sections such as Main Plaza, Amphitheater, South garden, North Garden, Azalea Garden, Scented Garden, Children Playgrounds, Artists' Corner, walled garden, verandah. Inside Sha Tin Park you would also find light refreshment zones and birds conservation zone. Michelia Figo and Osmanthus fragrans planted in large numbers are a major attraction of the scented garden. Various exhibitions, display, product campaigns and marriage ceremonies are held in the Artists' Corner. Large number of local people gather in Sha Tin Park every day in the morning and evening for walking. You can also opt for a bicycle ride from Promenade to the Waterfront park.

Sha Tin Park is opened at 6.30 in the morning and is closed at 11 PM and is managed by Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
