Religion of Hong Kong is a significant part of Hong Kong's culture. In spite of the western influences, religion plays a very important role in the life of Hong Kong. Most of the people have deep rooted faith.

Just like any other Asian country, there are several religious groups in Hong Kong. Some of the most important religions of Hong Kong are as follows:
- Buddhism: Buddhism in Hong Kong is a result of Indian influence on the region. In fact Buddhism is a very important religion of Hong Kong. It has been estimated that on an average there are nearly 600 Buddhist temples in Hong Kong. The Tian Tan Buddha (the famous bronze statue of Buddha) in Po Lin Monastery is an important landmark of Hong Kong. Some of the popular Buddhist temples in Hong Kong are Wong Tai Sin Temple, Wong Tai Sin and Chi Nin Nunnery. These monasteries are not only a part of the religious life of Hong Kong but also perform relief work and are a significant part of the general life of Hong Kong.
- Christianity: Christianity is the second most important religion of Hong Kong. Christianity made its appearance in Hong Kong after the year 1841. At present there are 40 churches and nearly 30 chapels in Hong Kong. Christianity is also an important part of education in Hong Kong. There are approximately 320 kindergartens and Catholic schools in Hong Kong under the Catholic Board of Education.
Apart from the main religions of Hong Kong, there are several minor religious communities in Hong Kong. Some of the religious communities are as follows:
- The Muslim community: There are approximately 80,000 Muslims in Hong Kong. The religious activities of the Muslims in Hong Kong are managed by the Incorporated Trustees of the Islamic Community Fund of Hong Kong. Some of the important mosques in Hong Kong are Shelly Street Masjid, Islamic Center and Kowloon Masjid.
- The Sikh community: The Sikh community mainly consists of Punjabi soldiers who originally came to Hong Kong during the Second World War as part of the British regiment.
